Wednesfield Foxes rider Ewan Turner was presented with a trophy at last night's regular Tuesday youth training session. Coach Wayne Tipton made the presentation, the closest the club will come to having their own Oscars night. This was to recognise Ewan's work on a recent school project, where the theme was sports and he chose to tell the story of a 'day at the races'. It was filmed at the Wednesfield club during the fourth of the Midlands rounds of the British Youth and Junior League on Jun 4th 2016, and features hand-drawn titles by the young rider as well as racing action and a tour of the club's covered pits. The video was well received at the club, but also at school back home in Rubery, where teachers and children alike were very impressed with his filmmaking and racing achievement - it is unlikely any of them would have seen cycle speedway racing before as clubs are a little thin on the ground in that part of the country.
