Hosted by us on the Ashmore park track on Sun 24th April we invited all Midlands clubs, as well as opening the invite to national riders, to the track for the completion of 2 open semi finals and final as well as hosting a 15 and Under category final...

Ex Wednesfield ace Ben Mould showed his liking for Ashmore circuit with a impeccable 20pnt maximum in the dash A final on Sunday the crunch race coming on ht13 where Ben met Lee Aris and Chris Timms a fantastic burst round the outside on lap1 was enough take victory. Aris will be pleased with his second place after a 6yr absence from the sport 3rd place went to Will Jeffery after a run off with Timms.
The B final was won by Lucas Kacmarek with Andy Yard beating Owen Wells in a run off for second. Wednesfield's Ellis Richmond back after a few years away from the sport and still recovering from ACL injury was well placed going to the last round of rides but was bulked badly which lost him valuable point to eventually finish in 4th position. Other Aces riders included Ben Morgan who has been riding less than a year accumulated an impressive 16 points including two race wins to finish in 5th place in the B final, along with Chris Jewkes who scored 14pts in that same final as he returns back to racing following his ACL injury from the start of last season.

The intermediate final was taken pre meeting favourite Shaun Kell from Ipswich with a 20pnt maximum second was George whale and third impressive female rider Lily Parr. Wednesfield youngsters were also in the mix including Jacob Jewkes, Erica and Nyla Aris all three rode incredibly well and kept their heads up to do themselves proud!

Lee Aris, 17pts, 2nd Place Overall
