The annual DASH event kicked off the beginning of a very busy race weekend on Saturday. First up was the U14's which provided with some very close racing with run offs needed to determine 1st and 2nd as well as a run off needed for 3rd and 4th. Coventry's Jude Wilcockson took the win in the run off to claim first place with Kesgrave's Lily Parr taking the second place. Again after a run off Newports Luie Lewis claimed the 3rd spot meaning Kesgrave's Luca Woodhouse finished 4th overall.
Next up was the women's racing where Aces own Georgia Burt rode to score 11 points. But finishing in the top three again a run run off for the first position Leicester's Lizzie Rigley took the title, finishing the day after 12 rides Lily Parr finished in 2nd place and to complete the podium Sheffield's Laura Watson finished in 3rd.
Moving onto Sunday with a massive thank you going out to Lauren Hookway for helping sweeping the now heavy and wet Wednesfield track to get ready for another full day of racing for the Women's League Battle of Britain. In the team event Aces Georgia helped bring home the victory to the Midlands squad scoring 69 points as a team to take the win. Megan also kindly helped out the North team for some races before pulling out due to illness. Fell better soon Megs!
Next the Women's individuals Georgia continued to ride and went on to score 10 points including a race win but a fall in her final race resulted her being in the B final and riding on a different bike finished 4th. The A final saw Lily Parr take the win, Bekah Humphries 2nd, Lauren Hookway 3rd and 4th Lizzie Rigley following an exclusion. Great weekend of racing by all!!!
