Day 1 - Southampton:
After a fantastic four rides Jacob finished the Under 8’s Little League Championship with 13 points after two firsts, a second and a third even completed an excellent inside pass in the mix of everything. This meant Jacob finished in 5th just two points off the run off for second and third!
Excellent effort young Jacob! You rode incredibly well even on your new bigger bike!
After getting through the pre-qualifiers Corey made it through to the final. After his five rides with two being from the gate four Corey finished on 10 points even winning one of his races! He definitely proved himself today impressing many spectators with his excellent riding technique performing passes on the inside and outside of riders! Well done Corey you should be very proud of yourself!
Day 2 - East Newport and Newport Newport:
Megan was racing over at East Newport in the Under 16’s Girls British Championship. After her four rides she finished on 12 points including a race win! Meaning she finished in 5th place.
Well done megs! Excellent effort and great pass!
After scoring 16 points over at East Newport in his first semi final Chris then headed over to Newport Newport for his second semi final. There he scored another 16 points to finish on a total of 32 points meaning he sailed easily into the Final which is being held at Horspath. CJ will be number 16 in the formula.
All the Vets British Championships were held over at Newport Newport on day two with two Aces riders making appearances one being Lee in the Over 50’s and Paul in the over 40’s.
Lee finished on 15 points (2,3,3,3,4) putting him in 6th place and Paul finished on 11 points (3,3,3,2)!
Congratulations to you both! Your first British finals since your comebacks - amazing! Well done!
Day 3 - Horspath:
Firstly Aces Under 16's rider Ellis had to prequalify to get through to the finals which he did so in his first race after an incredible inside pass on Bury's Harry Radford which put Ellis into first to head straight into the final.
In the final Ellis finish on 18 points securing him the Third place title in the under 16’s. Great race skill and control was shown by Ellis today around the technical Horspath track amazing job and effort Ellis well done!
Next up was the women’s racing where the Burt sisters rode. Megan finished on 8 points after beating older sister Georgia and after a fall she proved her great riding after stepping up from the under 16 girls yesterday and being a late entry into the event.
Georgia finished on 10 points and had a fall of her own also after battling with Leicester’s Lizzie.
Huge congratulations to you both!
Last up was the Open Final to close the British Finals weekend 2021. After his success in the semi finals yesterday Chris continued he success today finishing on 12 points meaning he finished in joint 8th. Well done Chris!
