Narrowly missing out on the win due to a run off being required the midlands team of Lizzie Rigley, Lucy Whitehead and Bekah Humphries had been leading early on and were the only team to score a max 7-3 heat finishing on equal points with the North the run off was ran to decide who got gold. This was only the 2nd match Megan had been in charge and was on the back of a midland win in the women’s league.
Next up was Corey who had been chosen to race in the England shirt in the Junior Home Internationals meeting.
Corey had an impressive days racing scoring a maximum of 16, he was extremely pleased with his performance as were a number of spectators around the track.
Third Ace up today was Wayne Aris who is the England Senior team manager. Wayne’s chosen England team went on to achieve the match win bringing home the gold medal.
Tomorrow Corey will be in action again riding for the Midlands senior team in the Battle of Britain.
