The Wednesfield Aces travelled strongly to Sunday’s second round of the FlexiLeague, held at the beautiful East Park circuit. A total of 31 riders signed on, with Wednesfield well represented by 13 riders—many of them our trusted young talents. With everything set, an exciting afternoon of cycle speedway soon got underway.
In the Senior Formula, competition was tight throughout, with the winning margin coming down to just a single point after 15 heats.
In the other formula Wednesfield fielded an impressive 11 juniors, and it was their combined efforts that secured the club victory on the day, finishing with a total of 152 points.
A standout performance came from Nevaeh, who went unbeaten all day and achieved a maximum score of 20 points. All of our riders put in strong performances and continue to show great improvement, which is fantastic to see.
A big well done goes to all the volunteers who helped the event run smoothly, as well as match referee Bob Prince for overseeing an excellent day of racing.
