After qualifying through to the under 18’s final with his first race win Corey went on to score 15 points in his final this put him in joint third place! A four way run off would decide who would take the bronze medal with Corey out on the gate four it was all to battle for. After a couple of reruns one which saw a rider excluded for excessive force with an unfortunate slip on the bend mid race Corey finished the run off in third placing him 4th overall in Britain a fantastic achievement! Well done Corey!
He was then on the Exeter track again for his second senior qualifier to add to his 13pt total. After a fall in one of his rides causing injury to his hand/wrist Corey managed to still add another 13pts to his total to finish on a fantastic 26pts. Though not enough to make the cut into the final (31pts needed) this is a great achievement for Corey it being his first year having a crack at the senior tournament.
He’ll finally get a day off racing now tomorrow but big sister Georgia will be taking to the Southampton track for the women’s final as will Aces riders Lee Aris and Chris Jewkes for the Over 40’s final.
