​Today marks the 2 week countdown till the European Individual Championship and Nations Cup weekend begins.

Below are all the events that Wednesfield are in charge of hosting over the race weekend including the all important and for the first time Women's Nations Cup as the Blue Ribbon Event!!

​As you may have spotted in some of our recent events we have been sporting some new race shirts!
With new shirts needed for the next few seasons our juniors of the club took on the challenge of a sponsored walk where we climbed up and down the Wrekin.
Wednesfield are very proud to announce that the club managed to raise an outstanding £1,065 in donations!
Thank you so much to everyone who donated and a massive well done to our junior riders for taking on the challenge. As a result the club have been able to cover the fees of all our competing juniors for the new shirts

A strong showing from the Wednesfield Aces junior squad marked the opening round of the British Youth & Junior League (BYJL) in Norwich on Saturday 11th July, with determined racing and podium‑level performances across multiple age groups.
Under 8s
The u8s category was one of the day’s most competitive, featuring 20 riders.
George Corbett and Leo Scrivens both delivered committed rides in their qualifying heats, scoring 11pts and 7pts respectively.
After progressing to the finals, Leo secured 3rd place in the D Final, while George matched that result with 3rd place in the C Final.
Under 10s
The Aces were well represented in the u10s, with Nevaeh, Arlo, and Jenson all taking to the track.
Arlo and Nevaeh each finished their qualifying rounds on 6pts, placing Arlo into the C Final, where he powered to 1st place.
Nevaeh lined up in the B Final, earning a solid 4th place.
Jenson impressed throughout qualifying, scoring 14pts and drawing grid 2 in the A Final, where he delivered an excellent ride to finish 2nd overall.
Under 14s
In the u14s, Jacob represented Wednesfield with determination and consistency.
His 11pts in the heats secured a grid 1 in the B Final, where he went on to claim 2nd place.

Last Tuesday, we recognise and remember the generous donations made in memory of Wednesfield Aces legend, Mick Aris.
In keeping with Mick's wishes, his funeral was a simple and heartfelt celebration of his life, organised by his family and friends. It included a gathering at his beloved Wednesfield Aces Club, a final lap of the track he loved so much, and then his final journey to his resting place.
Thanks to your incredible generosity, a total of £2,415 was raised in Mick's memory. This will be shared equally between two causes that meant so much to him.
Half of the donations will go to Wednesfield Aces Club, which was an integral part of Mick's life. The club gave him the opportunity to see the world, make lifelong friends, and create countless memories through the sport he loved.
The remaining half will be donated to Ward C4 at Russell's Hall Hospital, where Mick received treatment. During his time there, he witnessed first-hand the outstanding care, compassion and dedication shown by the incredible staff who work tirelessly for our NHS every day.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who donated in Mick's memory. Your kindness will help support two causes that were incredibly close to him

​The Wednesfield Aces were in action on Sunday as they travelled to Coventry CSC, to face Leicester in what proved to be an excellent afternoon of cycle speedway.
Every Aces rider stepped up and delivered strong performances throughout the meeting. The team was led by experienced veterans Lee Aris and Chris Jewkes, who both remained unbeaten on the day. They were well supported by Scott Doherty, Nat Ward, Ben Morgan, Josh Hill (guest rider), and junior Jacob Jewkes.
Jacob produced a standout performance, making impressive passes and contributing crucial points that proved vital in the final scoring. His efforts, combined with a superb all-round team display, helped the Wednesfield Aces secure a thoroughly deserved victory.
A fantastic result and a great team performance from everyone involved.

​Wednesfield Aces are proud to share that two of our aces members have been called up to represent England in this years Nation Cups held at Wednesfield this August.
Corey Burt has been called up to put on the England shirt one last time in the junior event
Not only is Corey a pocket rocket out on the track but his ability to read races quickly will help play to his advantage against the other teams especially with the event being held on his home track.
Another Ace which will be using his expert knowledge on the Wednesfield track to no doubt pull off some well timed passes is England Vet representative Lee Aris!

On Sunday, Wednesfield proudly hosted the opening round of the Midland League, with a fantastic day of cycle speedway from start to finish.
The day began with racing for our junior riders, and it was brilliant to see so many youngsters taking part and continuing to improve as the season progresses. The future is certainly looking bright for the club. With Junior National League fixtures taking place across the country and individual events still to come at Wednesfield later this year, our juniors are looking in great shape to make their mark.
At 1pm, attention turned to the main event as the Wednesfield Aces welcomed the mighty Birmingham, who arrived with their strong squad following their recent Open Club Championship success. Our riders rose to the challenge and produced an outstanding performance, leading by the narrowest of margins at the halfway stage. Despite a determined effort, Birmingham showed their class in the second half to edge ahead and take the victory.
While the result didn't quite go our way, it was another excellent day's racing with plenty of close, exciting heats that showcased everything that's great about cycle speedway. Wednesfield once again proved to be fantastic hosts, providing a well-run event enjoyed by approximately 40 riders and everyone in attendance.
A huge thank you goes to all of the volunteers who made the day possible. Special thanks to Bob Price for refereeing, Kevin Turley for expertly running the pits and Wayne Tipton for keeping everyone entertained and informed on the microphone.
Next Sunday, the Midland League heads to Coventry, where the Wednesfield Aces take on Leicester. We wish the team the very best of luck and look forward to another exciting afternoon of racing
